Day 15 IDENTITY – WHO IS JESUS? THE WORD
John 1:1-3 “IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.”
Thank you, Jesus, for being the WORD of God. Thank you for the power of Your Word that You have entrusted to us. Thank you that Your Word is alive and full of power. Thank you that it is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit. Thank you that Your Word discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
Thank you that Your Word reveals Jesus Christ to me.
Lord, forgive me for thinking that the Bible is just another book. Forgive me for not honoring and loving the Word. Forgive me for not keeping Your Word in my heart. Forgive me for not believing and obeying Your Word. Forgive me for being partial to certain parts of Your Word, believing in certain parts and not believing in other parts. Forgive me for trying to rationalize Your greatness and Your truths.
Prayer / Declaration
Lord, I declare that Jesus is the Word. I declare that everything came into existence through Him and through the words that were spoken. I declare that His Words are Spirit and Life in my life. I declare that His Word is Light and the darkness will flee before it.
Lord, I pray that Your Word will be alive in my heart and in my mind and ready on my lips. I choose to believe in Your Word and the fullness thereof. I pray that You will reveal Jesus to me as I read the Word, because He is the Word.
Lord, I declare that Your Word is my foundation. I declare that Your Word is the plumb line in my life and that it guides me, teaches me and takes me into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, because He is the Word.
Day 16 IDENTITY – WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT? OUR HELPER
John 14:26 “But the Helper (Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.”
Thank you, Father, for sending the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name to represent Him to us. Thank you, Holy Spirit for being my Comforter in times of sadness. Thank you for helping me when I need help. Thank you for interceding for and with me. Thank you for strengthening me when I am weak. Thank you for teaching me all things. Thank you for helping me to remember the things that You told and taught me. Thank you for revealing Jesus Christ and God the Father to me. Thank you for leading me into all truth.
Lord, forgive me for not giving attention to the Holy Spirit, for ignoring Him and grieving Him. Forgive me for not allowing the Holy Spirit to be my Teacher and my Comforter and my Helper. Forgive me for trying to find my strength in other people or other things and not acknowledging the help of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, forgive us for not always giving the Holy Spirit the freedom and the room to move. Forgive us for sometimes faking the Holy Spirit.
Prayer / Declaration
Jesus, thank You for sending us the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I long to be led by You in all Your wisdom and counsel. I submit to Your guidance, counsel and Your teaching. Teach me the ways of the Father.
Holy Spirit, I welcome You as my Comforter. Please comfort me so that I can comfort others with the same comfort I received.
Holy Spirit, please expose every lie I have about the Father, Jesus, You and myself and reveal to me the truth so that I can be set free.
Holy Spirit, teach me the ways of God so that I can know Him.
Holy Spirit, please strengthen me in my weakness.
Holy Spirit, bring revelation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God to me, my family, my community, city and nation. Open our blind eyes and let us see what the Father wants to show us. Open our deaf ears so that we can hear what the Father is saying to us. Soften our hard hearts by pouring the love of the Father into our hearts. Lead us into glorious worship to Jesus Christ.
Teach us, Holy Spirit, how to honor Jesus Christ, the Father and You. Teach us how to wait on You, how to move with You in total obedience and how to step out of the way and allow You to move and do what You have planned and purposed.
Day 17 IDENTITY – WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT? A GIFT
Acts 2:38-39 “And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself.”
Thank you, Jesus, for the opportunity to be baptized into the death of Jesus Christ and for the privilege to arise with Christ into His resurrection life! Thank you for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you that the promise of the Holy Spirit is for me and for my children, for all that are far away and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself!
Lord, forgive me for my sins and my wicked ways and thoughts. Forgive me for rejecting the will of God in my life. Forgive me for thinking that the promise of the Holy Spirit is not meant for all people. Forgive me for not accepting the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer / Declaration
Holy Spirit, please expose my evil ways and views and help me, through repentance, to align myself with Your Word and truth. I receive and accept Your will for my life. Please lead me and guide me to walk in Your will and Your ways.
Lord, I have been baptized and I now ask you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Please come and fill me with Your Holy Spirit and release Your resurrection life and power in me.
Lord, I pray that everyone shall come to repentance, be baptized and filled with Your Spirit and walk in newness of life. Jesus died for all of us and because of that God invites and bids everyone to come to Him.
Day 18 IDENTITY – WHO AM I? – CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
Genesis 1:26-27 “God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Thank you, Jesus, that I am created in the likeness and the image of God Himself. Thank you that You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank you that my frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Thank you that Your eyes saw my unformed substance. Thank you that the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them, were written in Your book, every one of them. Thank you that Your thoughts toward me are precious, Oh God! (Psalm 139:13-17)
Lord, forgive me for rejecting myself and even hating myself and therefore rejecting who You created me to be. Forgive me for rejecting my appearance and my character. Forgive me for believing the lies of the enemy about who I am. Forgive me for rejecting myself as the temple of God and therefore rejecting You in me.
Prayer / Declaration
Lord, I declare that I have been created in the image and the likeness of God. Lord, You were not confused when You created me. I declare that I was designed by God and created to be in relationship with Him. I declare that I was created for a purpose to advance the Kingdom of God and to be His representative here on earth.
Lord, help me to spend more time in worship and in Your presence so that I can become like You.
Lord, I declare that EVERYONE in my family, community, city and nation have been created in the image and the likeness of God. I declare that they were designed by God and created to be in relationship with Him. I pray that they will come into deeper relationship with You and I pray that You will pour Your love into their hearts so that they can be changed into Your image.
Day 19 IDENTITY – WHO AM I? THE TEMPLE OF GOD
2 Corinthians 6:16-17 “What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
John 17:23 “I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”
John 14:23 “Jesus answered, If a person loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and WE (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) WILL COME TO HIM AND MAKE OUR HOME (abode, special dwelling place) WITH HIM.”
Thank you, Jesus, that You choose to make Your dwelling with me and walk among us. Thank you, Lord, that You desire to be my God and that I can be part of Your people. Thank you, Lord, that You desire to be ONE with me and that You (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) want to make Your home with me.
Thank you for the privilege to be called the temple of the living God!
Lord, forgive me for not believing that I am the temple of the living God. Forgive me for thinking that You are far from me, not believing that You want to make Your dwelling with me. Forgive me for not keeping Your Word and obeying Your teachings. Forgive me for so often rejecting myself or hating myself and therefore rejecting myself, as the temple of God.
Prayer / Declaration
Lord, I now declare that I am the temple of God because I declared You the Son of God and I placed You on the throne of my life. You are my Lord and King. I declare that I love You and I long for You to make Your home with me. Holy Spirit, please reveal the Father and Jesus Christ to me so that I may know Him and love Him more as I experience His presence.
Lord, let me be one with Jesus as He is One with You.
Lord, I declare that my family, community, city and nation belongs to Jesus Christ because He already paid the price for each one of them with His blood. I pray that each one will come to repentance and turn their hearts and lives to Jesus, accepting Him as their Lord and Saviour, so that each one of them can truly be the temple of God: knowing Him, knowing His presence, fellowshipping with Him and carrying His presence wherever they go.
May my family and community, city and nation be carriers of the presence of God, and may Your love and ministry of reconciliation be released here, in the Name of Jesus!
Day 20 IDENTITY – WHO AM I? RIGHTEOUS IN CHRIST
Philippians 3:9 “And that I may be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law’s demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ, the right standing with God, which comes from God by faith.”
Thank you, Jesus, that I am righteous through my faith in Christ and not through my obedience to the Law’s demands.
Lord, forgive me for being self-righteous, always trying to prove that I am right. I have no righteousness except the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ. Forgive me for thinking that I can achieve righteousness through my own works.
Prayer / Declaration
Lord, I declare I am righteous through my faith in Christ. I declare that I have no righteousness of my own. I declare that my faith in Jesus Christ brings me in right standing with God. I believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the perfect work of the cross and I receive my righteousness from God by faith.
Day 21 IDENTITY – WHAT IS MY POSITION? SEATED IN HEAVENLY PLACES
Daniel 7:27 “And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heavens shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions shall serve and obey Him.”
Ephesians 2:5-6 “But God … even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,…”
Thank you, Lord, that I am alive in Christ! Thank you, Lord, that I am saved by grace, raised up with Christ and seated, with Him, in heavenly places. Thank you, Lord, that we can look at every situation from a heavenly perspective and not be overwhelmed by earthly situations.
Lord, forgive me for thinking that I am a victim here on earth, at the mercy of worldly forces and authorities. Forgive me for thinking that You have forgotten about me and that I am not important to You. Forgive me for looking at my situations from a worldly perspective and allowing it to overwhelm me. Forgive me for thinking that my problems are bigger than You.
Prayer / Declaration
Lord, I declare that I am seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I am not a victim because I sit in a position of victory in Jesus Christ Who already overcame the enemy and all the things of the world. I declare that none of. My problems are bigger than my God. I declare that every solution is to be found in Jesus Christ alone and therefore I fix my eyes and my heart on Him. I declare that my God is the God of the impossible!
I invite You, heavenly Father, into my impossible situation and I pray that You will reveal the solution and the way out of this situation. And I will declare Your glory and Your faithfulness, because that is Who you are. Thank you, Lord!
